Long Brown Hair
What is it about long brown straight hair, with perhaps a hint of slightly blondish highlights? Add some gray sweatpants and t-shirt and perhaps flip flops. Well I sure don’t know, but I know I like it.
I was at the doctor’s office when I saw this girl who’s description preceded this sentence. It can’t just be the hair and the outfit. She was also tall, not a giant tall, but probably 5’5″ or 5’6″. I can’t really tell, since she was sitting the whole time, but I don’t know, maybe even 5’7″. I can just tell she is not short. I think long legs too. She was also thin with a nice figure, and not bony. I don’t like bony. She also had nice lips, lips that came with a bad habit. She kept peeling her lips with her fingers, but her lips did not look chappy. What else did I notice? Skin was smooth and clear. A light complexion that is tanned from the Florida sun. A straight normal size nose. Eyes? I didn’t see too much, but I think a light brown. She had long nice feet with some white nail polish tips. I think the nail polish was the same on her skinny fingers. She was able to bend the tip of her finger at the top joint back further than I can, made me think she was maybe double jointed.
Yes you get to wait that long at my doctor’s office. You can study a person while you wait, if you were interested
. The poor girl was in the office before I arrived. She looked like she was in pain. She was sick. I don’t wait long before I start asking if it will be long so they make sure to get me in and out fast. So they let me in to see the doctor, offered me another doctor who was available faster but then changed their mind (same doctor I later find out the girl is waiting to see). I waited for another 15-20 minutes inside to see the doc. And when I left, the poor girl was still sitting there waiting in pain. I spoke with her very shortly and offered to talk to them for her, she said it was ok and thanked me. No one will give you anything in this world, you have to take what you want. She will learn that some day.
So seeing her sick and coughing and in sweat pants, yet she was still attractive. Perhaps that is the best way to know if you really find someone truly attractive. If you are still attracted to the person when they are sick and under dressed, then maybe that is a good choice.

Delray Beach Webcam
It has been raining on and off this week and early this morning and still happening now is thunderstorms in the area. Heavy rain and flood warnings for Palm Beach County. The signs of summer being around the corner in Florida, where it rains heavily for 10-15 minutes and then the sun returns and dries it all up instantly. But I am not complaining, we can use the water, we still have water restrictions in the county because of less rain the past year or two.
So I say let it rain! Just keep the hurricanes away. With my last water bill being so high, maybe my sprinklers won’t have to come on for some time, at least they didn’t come on today. So rain away!

2009 White Honda Accord LX
It looks like I am going with a Honda Accord lease option. After much consideration of buying new, buying used, or leasing, I decided I will be going with another lease. It is the cheapest upfront, in this crappy economy while I am looking for more work as the current project is not enough to cover the bills. I also may consider buying it after the lease is up, but I do like the idea of a new car so I don’t know if I will do that and I hear Honda is releasing a bio-diesel accord in 2010 that is supposed to do almost 63 mpg on highway. And who knows what else they may have in the next 3 years. I was considering keeping the Passat when I first leased it, but the last year, I had decided for sure I wasn’t.
I considered the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Hyundai Sonata, Ford Fusion and many others. I always ended back with the Japanese cars. They hold their value much better than the rest. The Accord and Camry are very popular and reliable. And other than feeling that the Camry is a geezer car, the Accord is also cheaper on the lease. So I am looking at paying first month payment down only so least upfront, maybe even sign and drive. It will be an Accord LX basic as much I can be basic on that, I know I will want various options but I am looking for best price right now, which means lowest if you didn’t know. And the color should be white as this is Florida and the heat is killer.
In another money spending news, I had to replace the AC unit at the other property after I had spend that $290 replacing the capacitor. Yeah I know, total rip off to start but I was hoping it would get me by through the summer without a problem. It didn’t last 1 month. Not even going to say how much the new AC unit cost, I don’t want to think about it. The old AC unit was 14 years old anyway so it did need replacing. Now if I can find a rental for this property, at least that can pay back the cost of the AC unit and help pay for the property’s mortgage. And yes I did use an Arab to buy and install the AC from, but surprisingly he was good. He was on time, was informative on what he was selling and simply knew his stuff. So THUMBS UP for an Arab providing service.

Apparently there is another snake in the my yard. My mom spotted an all black snake this time. I am wondering if the parakeets are attracting the snakes. It is strange that in 4 years we did not see a single snake in the yard and now there are two that have been spotted. No idea if this snake is poisonous or not. I read it is best to just leave the snakes alone as they feed on rodents, but we don’t have any rodent issues here so I am not sure why they are here. Either the budgies are attracting them or the budgies are attracting rodents that I have not yet seen. If the budgies are the reason, they will need to go. Seems like ants, lizards, frogs and snakes are the pest problems in South Florida or maybe all of Florida. Probably ants are a problem everywhere.

Two days ago we spotted a red, black and yellow snake slithering slowly just below the screen door to the patio. I have heard of people finding snakes in their yards and homes in the community but this is the first time in four years living here that I have seen one in my yard. I wanted to kill it but my dad was worried it would jump back and bite me when I hit it and took away my weapon! The snake then slithered away fast and got away hiding below the air conditioner. We tried to get it out but could not find it. Two days later the snake is still on the loose! Turns out the day before we spotted it, my neighbor’s mother had spotted something moving in his yard as well that looked like a snake’s tail but lost sight of it.
Well after doing a little research online, there are two snakes in Florida that match those colors and not knowing ahead of time the way to identify them, I am not sure which one had visited me. These two snakes are the coral snake and the scarlet king snake. And worse one of these is poisonous and the other is not, and they are easily mistaken.

Scarlet King Snake

Coral Snake

Coral Snake - Black Nose
Very similar snakes but looking at them side by side you can see the difference. From reading online one way to identify them is “red on yellow will kill a fellow”. That is the coral snake has red and yellow stripes that touch, whereas the scarlet king snake has red/orange touching black. But this isn’t a sure fire way to be safe, the coral snake also has a black nose whereas the other snake has a red nose. And seeing these pictures again now, I am 99% sure it was the coral snake which atleast one other neighbor found one in his garage. Only way to know for sure now is to spot it again and kill it!

Took my car this morning to have the door pull handle trim replaced. VW has some crappy rubber material on the door handles to give a soft touch to them. But this material is crap and rips after some time. The handle underneath this crap is just fine, they didn’t need to put this on it. So I previously had VW service replace one pull handle and the other needed to be ordered. So I called last week and confirmed they had the order and scheduled an appointment for today.
And so today, I took the car. They always take a long time to do any service. The service adviser tells me it will take about 45 minutes. So I go and wait. It was 9am, I pretty much had not slept at all, and I hadn’t eaten so I was hungry. I got an almonds bar from the vending machine and decided to have coffee which they offer free. I am not really a coffee drinker but the last few times I had it, it wasn’t bad. I see a machine for hot water and grab a hazel nut flavored coffee package. One of those round little bowl type things with an aluminum foil cover on top. So I rotate it looking for the extended piece of aluminum foil to peel it open. I can’t find one, I grab another package to check, nothing … and another.

Green Mountain Coffee Maker
Alright, so I try peeling it. I cut my nails very short so it doesn’t help. I try and try, then decide to just punch a hole with my finger. Inside I see coffee whatever it is, but it is a lot. I think I can’t put this in a cup and add water. This doesn’t make sense, plus it had this zig-zag filter looking thing the coffee is sitting in. I dump it in the trash, figure coffee is too weird, let me go back to my tea. Grab a green tea. This is the same as the coffee thing. Punch a hole in it. Ok so this is weird, it has that filter as well. Poured some of the green tea in the cup. Finally a sales guy, comes by and asks me if I know how to use the machine. I said huh? isn’t this just hot water. Nope. He flips open a top which reveals a round tray the exact fit of the package in my hand. Yah embarrassing. I didn’t know how to use a coffee machine.
Or maybe he was a manager and figured I was going to punch holes in all the tea and coffee packages before I figured out how to use that machine. Well at least the hazel nut coffee was good.
Alright so obviously the car took more than an hour to finish and the service adviser tells me that they replaced the bottom piece only because the top piece had not come in. And I explain to him right in the show room with everyone there, that I called and made the appointment after they told me the parts were in. He said they must of just saw one and assumed and I complained that they are wasting my time. Yeah, so morons!
At this dealer, they always wash the car free when you do your service. FYI it has been raining here for the past few days, plus it was raining today. So why are you washing my car? Why are you wasting more of my time? Yeah, so morons!
Finally they pull my car up. I look at the door handle. The TOP part was replaced and the bottom was not. I call over the service adviser and show him. He said he must of misunderstood the service guy and got which part was replaced mixed up. Yeah so, morons!
Now before you call me a moron for not knowing how to operate the coffee machine, keep in mind, on a previous visit to that dealer. I actually had the green tea, and I didn’t use the machine. That tea didn’t taste good, and now I know why. Yeah so … shaaaadup.

Buzz buzz. I cut my hair today. My shortest cut in years. Size 2 all around. Even the woman at the barbershop had to confirm with me that I want to cut it all size 2. Yes I know, a woman cut my hair at the barbershop. It is the best shop I can find here in Florida, it took me some time to find it when I first moved down here. They keep asking me if I want to trim my eye-brows. I always say no.
I like them as they are, it is one of my Arab features.
Here it is

Deerfield Beach
Long entertaining day. Deerfield Beach, went swimming. Have not done that in a while. I did seem to miss a spot on my back with the sun block so it is burning a little right now. Weather was beautiful this weekend. A lot of people on the beach, plus there was some founder’s event thing, no idea what it was, didn’t care but it was more reason for people to go. Perhaps in my lack of trips to the beach in the past year, a trend grew fast and I wasn’t so much aware of it’s growth. It seems that almost every female on the beach is now wearing a thong, with some “upgraded” to a g-string. What ever happened to family friendly beaches? I know, girls compete with each other and when one does something, the second follows suit. The mentality is exposing yourself solo is bad, but if your friend does it too or if you do it together, it is ok. There is a time and place for everything, let’s keep the beaches family friendly. This is without mentioning the topless beach goers.
Beach was a good start to the day, had fun in the water and on the sand. But a nice wave hit me right in the eye and took out one of my contact lenses. Probably because I was looking at all those girls in thongs and g-strings. But hey being at the beach with my current weight feels much better than being at the beach last year or the past 4-5 years and those girls were probably looking at me too.
I also saw Batman: Dark Knight at the IMAX finally. I have been trying to go see it for the past few weeks. Great movie. Heath Ledger did an excellent job as the joker. Movie is two and a half hours long, but looked very nice on the imax screen. Why so serious???

A random weekend Saturday, which I will sum up with just phrases. Don’t expect this to make any sense. No explanations. No details. Just incomplete sentences. Perhaps I will know what these phrases mean a year from now, perhaps not. They may or may not trigger a memory of today, but that doesn’t matter now. So here they are:
- cow stomach linings
- town center fives and nines
- Las Olas and Las O Not
- 24 hour dunkin donuts
And some memories that came up today. Some fun, some good, some eh. Phrases from these memories:
- Double Tree
- Hooters Pass Thru
- A1A Beach Leak
- Lost Lucky at a Gas Station
- Mohsen Weekend
