I just saw a cnn video on Paris Hilton getting a new reality show. After my last post, Paris fights Lohan for the title, which I said Paris was upset over Lindsey Lohan stealing her spotlight. And here we go, Paris wins again. Not only did she get the new mugshot but she got a bonus reward of a reality show. Whats a couple of nights in jail when you get millions for it soon after. So I suppose drugs pay the bills.

The sadder part of all this is, people will probably watch the show. Paris, can I have a million bucks?

Watchmen

I watched Watchmen finally with iTunes. I like watching movies in HD but I don’t have a high definition television. I don’t watch TV much, rather I use the computer a lot and watch dvds, movies, tv shows all on the computer, like ABC’s LOST in HD. ABC has done an outstanding job with their HD program online. So I tried out iTunes with some hesitation as their HD movies are 720 instead of 1080 which is understandable for the file size. After downloading Watchmen, I was pleased with the quality at 720, it is not a huge noticeable difference.

V for Vendetta

Watchmen was an interesting movie. I enjoyed the dark and weird film. I had wanted to see the movie early this year when it was at IMAX but ended up missing it. It is not a movie for everyone, but I thought Jackie Haley who I never heard of before did an awesome job as Walter Kovacs aka Rorschach. Continuing the dark films I went ahead and also purchased V for Vendetta on iTunes and watched that as well and enjoyed it. This movie was even weirder than Watchmen. Natalie Portman played her part well. So it looks like iTunes will be my online movie rental / movie store for now anyway. It will be nice when movies are in full HD resolution which looks great on my 24″ monitor .

I bought both of these movies rather than rent. Watchmen because it isn’t available to rent yet, and V for Vendetta’s rental price was $3 while to buy it was $10. Being so close in price I bought it, which is worth it in some cases. Watchmen was $15. At these prices it is the price of going to the movie theater to watch them but I can re-watch when and if I want to. iTunes is not a replacement for “going to the movies” but rather a movie viewing option.

I saw the movie Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs today. Compared to the list of bad movies I saw this year, this one was the most enjoyable after Megan Fox 2. This was a good movie, an entertaining movie. Not the greatest movie and not expected to be. I finally got to see a decent movie. After paying for so many dumb movies this year, I got to see a movie that was good and it was FREE. That is right, a simple complaint to the manager made the movie free. And yes the complaint was valid and legit.

After the movie I dropped in a Brookstone store to get my massage. That’s right I go into Brookstone and Sharper Image when they were still in business and get a massage. One day I will buy one of those massage chairs but until then since I haven’t decided which one I like and they keep making them better, I can’t buy it yet. It’s not the price that is holding me back! Don’t you hate when someone is sitting on the massage chair and won’t leave?

Volleyball Diger

Luckily this time there were 2 chairs with just one in use by a young cute girl. I soon find out she had the better massage chair, but that is fine, can’t always have it all. I had a nice conversation with her while we both sat our asses down and refused to leave. Even her mother came by and asked if we were ever going to leave the chairs. Poor girl had some metal bracket or brace around her leg from the knee down that had a cover on it. The cover it seems was not just to hide the metal structure but also her scars. I was able to see one scar above this brace. I thought she was in some car accident. NOPE it was from volleyball. YES VOLLEYBALL. I never knew you can get so hurt in volleyball. She explained to me she joined a volleyball team and was playing a “digger” and explained what that is. She dove for a hit and I have no idea how twisted up her leg.

So as you can see, conversations with strangers can not only pass time but also be informative. So I got a free movie, a little massage and a nice chat with this cute girl. I thanked her for the chat and wished her well at which she was all blushing and smiling.

Foxxy Megan

I saw Transformers 2: Rise of the Fallen on Sunday. From here on I will call it Megan Fox 2. Now I expected dumb plot events as the first one had, and I expected to enjoy this movie like I did with the first. The first was entertaining, the second was as well, except it really dragged at the end. The action got boring, I stared at the screen wondering when it will end. And I stared at Megan Fox running for 5 miles with Sam. Therefor I am stilling demanding my good movie this year!

So as usual Megan Fox was THE movie. Sure there was some nice Hollywood effects, some good transformers action but too many dumb scenes that dragged the movie. We had ghetto twin auto-bots saying “we can’t read”. I really didn’t enjoy any scene with the ghetto bots. A new human skinned Decepticon, I figured she was not human before they revealed her when I thought oh no, she is a terminator. We had her sit in the car with Sam, the car is bumble bee, who was not able to detect she was a bot rather than a human, yet at the start of the movie an auto-bot announces he can smell the Decepticon bot. We had a horrible weak trap involving kidnapping Sam’s parents from Paris to Egypt. We had Sam have bumble bee take Sam’s parents to safety while he ran on foot to the soldiers, only to find out that bumble bee drove the parents to the soldiers were Sam had to run for miles instead. We had the sector 7 guy decide to assault museum guards to enter the museum instead of just going for a regular visit and of course he just happened to have maybe 8 tasers in his purse on him. All this and so much more!

So this just left me with Megan Fox. And that is why this movie is now called Megan Fox 2. And with that I leave you with some Megan. Oh and Megan, you can only wish I would get ANY tattoo for you, especially not one with your name. But if you like you can get one for me since you have, 8 was it? Alright back to Megan…

How about a good movie this year? I have not seen a good movie this year and I don’t really see anything too good coming out any time soon. Maybe Transformers will be it. The last two movies I did see were UP and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. UP sucked so bad. I was bored and my body ached after seeing the movie. I was exhausted. What kind of kids movie is it supposed to be? A story about an old man who’s wife dies and he never got to fulfill his promise to her??? NEXT. Wolverine was ok but wasn’t anything special or great. The trailer for Wolverine was epic, the trailer promised so much but the movie did not deliver.

I hear Star Trek is a really good movie but I don’t have interest in it to see it. It may be the movie to see this year but I just can’t interest myself in it. So come on Hollywood, deliver the goods! I demand a great movie!

LOST

So tonight is the season finale of Lost season 5, well tomorrow for me as I watch it online in HD on abc.com. Which by the way is awesome, if you have not seen LOST in HD online, you should go ahead and try it. It helps to have a 24″ inch wide-screen LCD on high resolution. So yah I actually did not watch this show until sometime towards the end of season 3. I watched it all online, playing catch up from season 1 through season . And I probably watched it too fast to have time to think over things that happened then and analyze the characters further, but there was no other way. And worse I have a bad memory with names, faces and events, i.e. almost everything. I also did not watch it on abc.com because I was not aware it was online on abc.com at the time and in high definition.

So what can I say about LOST? I have enjoyed the show. The mysteries surrounding the island and the connections between each character keep me drawn to the show. My favorite characters are Sawyer and Kate. I initially liked Jack’s character, at least the when he is on the island. Sawyer is great because he does what is necessary. Then we have Sayid, ok sure he is playing an Arab, an Iraqi Muslim from Tikrit, that is all awesome and wonderful and great … EXCEPT he is not an an Iraqi nor a Muslim. He is Indian. Nothing wrong with that, but come on, he sounds nothing like an Arab, and looks nothing like an Arab. Ugh. Whatever.

So Kate is just awesome, do I really need to explain Kate? She is cute, knows how to shoot a gun, and has some nice lips and awesome TEETH, yes teeth! Ok ok so she sleeps around with everyone on the show and considers the rest if she hasn’t hooked up with them, and she gets people killed or in trouble and she does some stupid things … HEY wait a minute, stop right there, we LOVE Kate. I just found out her name is Lilly Evangeline, what the hell? That name sucks, Kate Austen for the win! Maybe I should of started a new paragraph for Kate. Oh wait I did. I recently watched a few of Season 1 episodes, I must say Kate looked hot with the scratches on her face. I need to give her a few more.

LOST Characters

And that is really what keeps the show entertaining. The show has a lot of great characters. Some of which are Ben, Richard, Locke, Hurley, Jin, Miles, and Desmond, but we don’t need to talk about them. We have Kate to talk about!

Alright so, I am expecting a good finale, as usual, but I am not sure if the show will end good. That is season 6 is supposed to be the last season and I am not sure I will like how the show will end, even thought I don’t know how it will end. Season 5 started with them saying, we are going to start answering questions, rather than asking questions. Well what the heck, it was like what just happened here? Who is that? Who would do that? Why is this here? What lies beneath the shadow of the statue??? EH? I thought they were going to answer questions instead of ask them. Season 5 asked a lot more questions than it answered. So Season 6 leaves a lot to be answered. What is the smoke monster? What did the temple do to Ben as a kid? What lies beneath the shadow of the statue? Who is Adam and Eve? What happened to and where is Claire? Are the survivors going to return to the “present”? Who are these what lies beneath the shadow of the statue people? Who do they work for? Why is Locke alive again? And a million other who, what, where, when, why and how questions. So yes tomorrow’s episode should be great, but it is going to suck to have to wait for the next season and final season to start. If abc doesn’t try to force a seventh season.

I think we have room for one more Kate Austen picture! Or three.
