Okay. Verizon fails yet again.

This maybe the phone that has me leave Verizon after YEARS of being on their network. I think it is time to say good bye to Verizon and Can you hear me now? to At&t. Hopefully the wait isn’t too long, but expected by March of this year.

Okay, it has been over a year now since windows phone 7 was released and still only ONE phone for Verizon. I am actually considering leaving Verizon and I have been with them for over 10 years, for lack of options in phones. GSM is used world wide and because of that, the majority of phones are GSM. And it makes sense, you pop in your sim card in a phone and it works, with CDMA you can’t do that. There isn’t a SIM card in CDMA, granted Verizon has some world phones that have a SIM slot so when you travel you can still use your phone, but that doesn’t mean you can pop in a SIM card in the US and use your phone on another network.

So when will Windows Phone 7 phones come to Verizon, when will we get the Nokia Lumia 800 in the US and on Verizon, there is a new Nokia handset that has been talked about but I had some doubts it will come to Verizon, but rather it will hit AT&T and maybe T-Mobile. This phone is expected early next year which isn’t too far, but yet is still far. I don’t know how much longer I can hold out, but it isn’t looking too good with my staying with Verizon as I am getting tired of this wait game.

So Verizon, I demand a Nokia Windows Phone! Soon it may be too late, even if Verizon gets it.

I believe I have decided on my next phone, if the stars align right and it comes to Verizon.

I have had a lot of interest as of late in the unannounced as of yet Nokia Searay which is expected to be announced in 2 days on October 26th.

The phone will be running Windows phone and is a beautiful looking phone. Here is a shot of what it should look like. Yes I want the black one seen below. It is also expected to come  in a blue and a pink.

Well this application from wordpress for the iPad is pretty cool. I have been playing words with friends and downloading apps! Thats what the iPad is for, apps. I do like the iPad and it serves it’s purpose. It is a little weird that it does not synch gmail contacts while it gets everything else from gmail just fine. Apparently you have to use iTunes for that which is pretty silly, I haven’t done it. Well that is all, I wanted to test this application out.

Life is busy. With multiple Arab revolutions going on and Lindsey Lohan making headlines, I have been busy much!

So I ordered an ipad 2. Yes I finally justified getting one, because of work!!! When it will arrive is a whole other story but my ipad 2 cover will be here very soon. I would rather they shipped them together but whatever. It will be a tease until the ipad arrives. I had to decide between the Motorola Xoom and the ipad 2. While Android looks promising, it still has some time to go before it gets there.

If you must know, I got the 16 GB black ipad with the blue smart cover.

Okay. I had the laptop for more than a week now and I am finally posting pictures of it. The laptop is great! Must say what I do miss from macbook is that glass trackpad, it really is amazing how it works.

I finally did it. Saying goodbye to my macbook. I ordered a Lenovo ThinkPad X201. The macbook is great but it was time for change again!

Verizon's iphone

It has finally happened. Feb 10, 2011 Verizon will have the iphone. Current Verizon customers can pre-order on Feb. 3rd. The phone will run on Verizon’s 3G network, not the new LTE network. This means no data and voice at the same time, but Verizon’s iphone has built in mobile hotspot, for 5 devices.

There are way too many options for new phones now. Verizon’s HTC Thunderbolt which will run on the new LTE network, Windows Phone 7 hitting Verizon soon and now the iphone. I wish Windows Phone wasn’t so late to get to Verizon, they missed an opportunity. So many choices but I am on contract until this summer, so maybe I will have time to decide on what to get.

There's an App For That!

Ok so apparently we can’t say that anymore. Apple trademarked the phrase “There’s an app for that”. Well I suppose with the release of Windows Phone 7, the timing is right. I mean if I wasn’t convinced to try a Windows Phone 7, I am pretty sure if Microsoft said there’s an app for that, I would be all over it.

Speaking of which, the Windows Phone 7 demos have been looking pretty nice. I am interested in Windows Phone 7, so maybe that will be my next phone. Can Microsoft trademark “I want that!”?

I received my new mouse from amazon yesterday in the mail. I ordered the Logitech G500 gaming mouse to replace my Logitech MX518 which was a great mouse but I needed a replacement. So far G500 seems to work great. I played Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 with it last night and I had to make some adjustments and I am still getting used to the mouse speed which is fast. The mouse comes with weights to add to it and I added all 4.5g pieces for a total 27g of extra weight. I also like the textured feel on the mouse body.  Another gadget I had to get .
